WANGANUI JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING MEETING.

Fibst Day—Tuesday, October 2. Fine weather favoured this popular Club for the opening day of its Spring Meeting. There was a large attendance to witness the racing, which was of a very interesting nature. Speculation was - brisk, the totalisator receipts amounting to £6686. This is £625 more than was put through the machine on the opening day of last years Meeting.
