COROMANDEL RACING CLUB.

A meeting of the Committee of the Coromandel Racing Club was held at tbe Council •Chambers on Friday last, Captain Swindley presiding. The following officers were elected lor the ensuing season President, Captain Hodge; vice-presidents, the Hon A. J. Cadman, the Hon Jas. McGowan, Captain A. R. H. Swindley, and Mr John Lynch, senr; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. F. Billing; judge, Mr J. Laing; starter, Mr Jas. McGuire; clerk of •course, Mr P. Lynch; clerk of scales, Mr H. Hales; auditor, Mr G. Cruickshank; timekeeper, Mr P. J. Hackett; totalisator steward, Mr 8. W. Rhodes; handicapper, Mr J. O. Evett; stewards, Messrs Maesicks, McCartin, McCormick, E. Denize, Urquhart, Verran, ', 'Maguire, Rostgard, and Thomson. The following were appointed a Committee to draft a programme for the Annual Summer Meeting, to -be held on November 21 and 22, aod to report to the next Committee meeting on the 30th inst (to-day) viz., Messrs Rhodes, Brodie, Denize, Urquhart, and Maguire. The following were appointed a Course Committee : —Messrs Brodie, Verran, Urquhart, and Captain Swindley.
