WAIKATO HUNT CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. The annual race meeting of the Whikato Hunt Club was held on Tuesday, the 19th inst. There was a very large attendance to witness the interesting sport. Miss Kate fell three fences from home, breaking a hind leg and having to be destroyed. Ladies’ Bracelet. Miss B. Bank’s bg Te Aupu, 10.12, S. Banks 1 Miss K. Callaghan’s Jacinth ... ... ... 2 These were the only starters, which made the race uninteresting. Handicap Hack Race. Mr W. K. Carter’s Knapsack, 10.7 f W. Neill 1 Mr D. Mr Wynne-Brown’s Joker, 11 0, Owner ... 1 Mr A. Ramsay’s Peacock, 10 7, W. Comer .. 2 Mr N. Banks’ Ptarmigan, 11.4, Hannon ... 3 Other starter —Defence. This was one of the best races of the meeting. The popular Huntsman had a big reception on returning to weigh in.
