HAWKE’S BAY JOCKEY CLUB’S SPRING MEETING.
[By
Petronel.]
Considerable interest is being taken in the Spring Meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Metropolitan Club, as many New Zealand Cup candidates will he seen out during the two days racing. In the Spring Handicap, run on the second day, there are nine Cup horses, and several others are entered in different events on the programme. The acceptances for the various races are delayed for some reason or other, and, therefore, the task of selecting probable winners is rendered all the more difficult. Hazarding the undertaking, I shall expect to see the races result thus : — October Handicap—Tauhei 1, El Dbaque 2, Jadoo 3. First Handicap Hurdles —Rollee or Tobpina. Hawke’s Bay Guineas. SEAHORSE 1 MISS DELAVAL 2
TEMERAIRE 3 Welcome Stakes —Beddington or Osmond’s selected. First Hack Handicap - Sibocco or Will-o’-the-Wisp. Corinthian Stakes —Wateestone or Jadoo. Flying Handicap—Oingo 1, Rosblla 2, Tibade 3. I SECOND DAY. Spbing Handicap. EXPLOSION 1 BUSH ROSE 2 TIRE 3 [By oue Napiee Coeeespondent.] I am without acceptances, as owners are not required to express their opinions re weights till to-night (Thursday). It makes matters a bit mixed to find punters the probable winners for the meeting, but it has to be done, so here goes— October Handicap —El Dbaque 1, Castashoee 2, Bush Rose 3. Flying—Oingo 1, Lady Loene 2, Amcueeux 3. Hack— Will-o’-the-Wisp 1, Fleka 2, H.M.S Pinafobe 3. Hurdles— Toepina or Rollee. Corinthian Stakes —Koeematuku. Guineas —Seahoese 1, Osmond’s selected 2, Lady Helen 3. Spring Handicap—Reliance 1, Bush Rose 2, Tauhei.
