In a paragraph containing the latest Samoan news, and composed mostly of military and naval items, the Star closes with the significant sentence —“ The residents of the Tongan group consider that this is the warmest season they have had in the last thirty years.” Well, we should'think so, but it is not the weather that we refer to. Politically the present state of affairs is warm, and it is to be hopt d that Samoa won’t experience a warmer state.
