AUCKLAND COURSING CLUB’S AUGUST MEETINGThe final meeting of the Auckland Coursing Club for the season of 1898 was commenced yesterday, under most favorable circumstances. Mr H. Hertz, a Napier greyhound owner, ha the bad luck to lose his pup by Shylock from Primrose the other day. While out for a run it is supposed he came across a bit of poisoned meat. The i oungster bad shown a lot of promise, and as he was such an exceptionally well bred one his loss will be a severe one to his owner.
