Five per cent will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Definition of a Hack.—A hack is a horse that has never ’■ won an advertised race at any time, hack and hunter -'■y;- races excepted,and is not or has not been nominated in ;? any race, other than hack or hunter races at the same of a Hunter.—Qualified hunters are horses I that have been regularly hunted with a recognised pack i-S : of hounds during the season of 1897 or 1898, and the f ' - Master’s certificate of qualification must be produced at ' .
