Judging from the published acceptances, the sport at Claudelands on Saturday, when the South Auckland Racing Club holds its autumn meeting, should be of a spirited character. If all the acceptors go to the post for the various events competition is bound to be keen, and in dealing with so many “ unknown quantities” the task of selecting winners is a rather difficult one. The South Auckland Cup one mile and a quarter, is the principal event of the meeting.
