RACING- CLUB. AUTUMN MEETING. FIRST DAY—EASTER MONDAY, APRIL 19, 1897. First Race to Start at 12 o’clock. Tradesmen’s Plate Handicap of 80 sovs ; second horse to receive 10 sovs out of the stake. Entrance 1 sov, and acceptance 1 sovs each, to go to the funds. For three-year-olds and upwards. One mile. Northern Champagne Stakes of 300 sovs; second horse to receive 30 sovs, and third horse 10 sovs out of the stake. Colts, Bst 101 b; Allies, Bst 81b; and geldings, Bst 51b each. By subscription of 7 sovs each, payable at the post, unless forfeits are declared as follows :—lf struck out by the drst Friday in December, 1896, 2 sovs forfeit ; if struck out by the Arst Friday in January, 1897, 3 sovs forfeit; if left in after this date, liable for the whole 7 sovs. All forfeits go to make up or increase the stake.
