Selling Handicap Trot of 12 sovs. The winner to become the property of the Club, and to be sold immediately after the race. Nomination, 12s; no acceptance. One mile and a half. Metropolitan Handicap of 40 sovs ; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes. Nomination, £1; acceptance, £l. Two miles and a half. Farmers’. Trot Handicap of 12 sovs ; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stakes. For horses owned and trained by bona fide farmers for three months prior to date of entry, and have never won an advertised trotting race. Nomination, 12s ; no acceptance. [The Committee have defined a farmer as follows :— A farmer is a person who resides on 30 acres of land.] Two miles.; Stewards’ Handicap of 16 sovs ; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stakes. Nomination, 10s; acceptance, 6s. One mile. Final Harness Trot of 20 sovs; second horse to receive 3 sovs from the stakes. Nomination, £1; acceptance, free. Two miles. (Handicap declared on course immediately after No. 6 race.) RULES AND REGUL A.TIONS. All raceswill be run under the Rules adopted by the North Island Trotting Association. All entries and acceptances, accompanied by the full amount in cash, must be in the hands of the Secretary before 9 p.m. on the dates mentioned below. Horses will not be handicapped whose nomination fees are unpaid. Every entry shall state the name of the owner, and name, sex, age, pedigree, description, performances of horse and colours of the riders. The Committee reserve to themselves the right to alter dates, order and time of events, should they see fit to do so.' DATES OF NOMINATIONS, &c. Nominations for all events close on WEDNESDAY, 10th June, at 9 p.m. Handicaps will appear on FRIDAY, 12th June. Acceptances close on the course, on the DAY of RACES, at 12 o’clock.
