MONDAY, DECEMBER 31st, 1894 THIRD ANNUAL SALE OF WHITFORD PARK yHOROUGHBRED Y EABLINGS AT SYLVIA PARK, AUCKLAND. The undersigned have received instructions from Messrs L. D. and N. A. Nathan to sell, without reserve, during racing week of Summer Meeting, on Monday December 31st, 1894, at two o’clock, the following F ASHIONABLE THOUROUGHBRED YEARLINGS : Lot J —BROWN YEARLING COLT, by Cuirassier from Liquidation, by King- Cole —Realization, by Vespasian—Hopeful Duchesss. Cuirassier, by Musket —Frailty. Liquidation is half-sister to Maxim, whose stock have raced so successfully this season, and she is full sister to Wapiti, the sire of Caribou, winner of the Canterbury Welcome Stakes, 1594. Lot 2.— CHESTNUT YEARLING FILLY, by St. Leger from Bellona, by Nelson—Muskerina, by Musket — Hipporina, by Hippocampus —Yatterma. The St. Legers have been very successful all through the last season, and this filly has very stout strains of blood coursing- through her veins. Lot 3.—BROWN YEARLING COLT by Cuirassier out of La Dauphine, by The Dauphin-Bras-solis, by Panic-Josephine, by Boiardo—Wanda, by Cossack. The nick of Musket and Traducer blood has proved itself. Lot 4.—CHESTNUT YEARLING COLT, by St. Leger out of Lady Whitford, by Nordenfeldt from Bianca, by Black Eagle from Bessie, by Angler (sire of Robinson Crusoe and OnyxJ from Scraps, by Lord of the Hills from Ragpicker, sister to Sylvia. The pedigree of this Colt contains most of the best strains of blood south of tho line. Lot S.—BROWN YEARLING COLT, by Cuirassier out of Sybil, by Leolinus out of Atlantis, by Thormanby out of Hurricane, by Wild Dayrell out of Midia, by Scutari out of Marinella. Leolinus mares have proved very successful at the stud, and the dam of this Colt is half sister to Happy Land, dam of Hova, winner of the Newmarket Handicap, 1594, an I she is also half sister to the famous sire St. Leger. Lot 6.—BAY YEARLING COLT, by St. Leger from Cantiniere, by Musket from Queen Bess, by Nutworth out of a daughter of Riddlesworth, by St. Patrick, imp. This colt is full brother to Brown Bess, winner of many races in Australia. Lot 7.—BROWN YEARLING COLT, by Cuirassier from Roie, hy St. Leger from Hippona, by Robinson Crusoe from Lambrna, by Fireworks from Night Light, from Archy.
