Coursing.

The hare will be running at Avondale again on Saturday, and with the arrival of dogs and “doggy” men from the South a successful meeting is promised. There are three stakes to be run for, the Champion Collar, Puppy and Open Maiden. The draw will take place to-night, between 8 at 9 o’clock, at the British Hotel, and acceptances close at 6 p.m. The following nominations have been received :— Champion Collar Stakes.—C. F. Mocking Bird, the Dunedin bitch, has come all the way from the South to be lined by Port Phillip. Sweetwater and Couranto are booked to take part in the meeting. Mr J. Kirkby will be represented by Kaputiki and Union Jack in the Puppy iStcikcs Messrs Hill & Proffitt, and other well-known Southern coursing men arrive in Auckland on Saturday.
