Laird o’ Largo gained first prizes in Carterton in 1884, 1885, 1887, and 1888 (also G. M.), and second in Carterton in 1886, first at Masterton in 1886, 18S7, 18S8, 1889, also G. M. Champion and special prize of £3 35., and third at Hawke’s Bay in 1888. .At Wellington, 1889, took Society’s prize of £5 55., Champion, and special of £3 35., and first prize of £5 ss. at Gisborne in 1892, also Gold Medal.
