June 5. Morag has been taken to Hastings to be schooled over the big jumps. He is in very good nick, and unless too heavily handicapped will require watching in the Hawke’s Bay Steeples. The local Trotting Club has received splendid entries for its Winter meeting, and should, provided the fine weather continues, score a decided success. The nominations are:—
