All Nominations, Entries, Acceptances, &c., accompanied by the necessary amount payable, close at the Club Hotel, Wellington, not later than 9 p.m. (unless stated to the contrary) on the advertised dates of closing. The Rules of Racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand, will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. Definition of a Hack —A hack is a horse that has never won an advertised race at any time, hack and hunter races excepted, and is not or has not been nominated in any race other than hack races at the same meeting.
