Mr D. G. Riddiford, the master of the Rangitikei Hunt Club, during his visit to Auckland in connection with the Polo Tournament, was in a spirit of reciprocity invited by Mr W. Percival, the Master of the Pakuranga Hunt Club, to look through the 17 couples located at the Otahuhu kennels under the care of the veteran Tom Brown. The result of Mr Riddiford’s visit was that Mr Percival has granted the R.H.C. the use of the hound Stringer, imported from the Pytchley pack, to serve a season in the Rangitikei district, and in return Mr Riddiford will allow the P.H.C. the use of a hound which is now on the way from England. The infusion of new blood should be invaluable to both packs. I should like to see some of the South Island packs reciprocate in a similar manner. Gresford will go to the stud next season, standing in the neighbourhood of Dubbo, N.S.W.
