The weather was fine, and there was a good attendance at the Turanganui Native Jockey Club’s Meeting, held on Easter Monday. £1536 went through the totalisator, which represents £203 more than last year. Results are appended : — Hurdle Handicap of 40sovs, one mile and a half.—Criminal, 10.13, 1; Avis, 10.1, 2; Cloth of Gold, 9.8, 3. Won by a length. Dividend, £1 9s. Tairawhiti Haandicap of 50sovs, miles.—Pekapu, 8.7, 1 ; Zanzibar, 9.0, 2 ; Mangahone, 6.7, 3. Dividend, £4 6s. Maori Race of 20sovs, 1£ miles.— Fraud, 8.0, 1 ; Takapuna, 9.1, 2. Dividend, £2 12s.
