According to a cablegram to the Australasian the Australian sportsman Mr D. Cooper won the Brocklesby Stakes of 500 sovs, five furlongs, at Lincoln, on March 22, with Glare, who is by Ayrshire (winner of the Derby) out of Footlight. The Brocklesby Stakes is the most valuable two-year-old event of the early part of the English racing season.
