While being driven with other horses to another paddock she put her foot in a coil of wire which was hidden in some fern, aud fell heavily, fracturing her shoulder so severely that she had to be destroyed, Horticulture, who was the property of Mr A. F. Bradshaw, was by Angler—Zephyr, by Boiardo. Among her progeny besides Nectarine, were Violet, Bismarck and other good performers. She was stinted this season to Mr Bradshaw’s horse Sinking Fund, by Tim Whiffler (imp.)—Jessie.
