ADVERTISEMENTS . j\JEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. AUCKLAND SECTION. CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS, 1892-93. FARES AND TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. FARES. ORDINARY RETURN TICKETS for distances under twenty-one miles, issued Saturday, 17th December, 1892, to Tuesday, 3rd January, 1893 (both dates inclusive), will be available for return up to and including Saturday, 14th January, 1893. EXCURSION TICKETS, available by any train, will be issued at Auckland, Newmarket, Onehunga, and Otahuhu, to the undermentioned stations, from Saturday, 17th December, 1892, to Tuesday, 3rd January, 1893 (both dates inclusive), and will be available for return up to and including Saturday, 14th January, 1893. Passengers holding extended Excursion Tickets as above must commence the journey on the day the tickets are taken out, and may break the journey at any Stopping Station after travelling 20 miles from the original starting Station. These tickets may be extended for a further period of a fortnight on payment of the difference in value between an ordinary single ticket and half the excursion fare. Persons desising an extension must apply at the Station to which the ticket was issued before the date of expiration of the ticket (January 14th, 1893). RACE TlCKETS.—Auckland, Newmarket and Onehunga to Racecourse Platform, on December 26th, January 2nd and 3rd, single or return irrespective of class, including admission to course, 2s. 6d.; rail only, Is. 6d.; from Racecourse to Auckland, irrespective of class, Is. Tickets available for day of issue only. TRJAIN ARRANGEMENTS. SATURDAY, 24th DECEMBER. —The 4.15 p.m. train Auckland to Mercer will run through to Hamilton West, stopping where required to pick up and set down passengers. WEDNESDAY, 28th DECEMBER.—DRURY RACES. —A train for Drury will leave Auckland at 10.30 a.m., Newmarket 10.40, Otahuhu 11.5; returning from Drury at 6.30 p.m.; stopping where required. Ordinary fares. TUESDAY, JANUARY 3rd.—The evening train between Helensville and Kaukapakapa will run as on Fridays and Saturdays. The 4.15 p.m. train Auckland to Onehunga will run as usual, The 5.0 p.m. train from Auckland will connect at Penrose with a train for Onehunga. The train which usually leaves Penrose for Otahuhii at 5.50 p.m. will leave at 5.30 p.m. For race trains, trains postpone!! and trains cancelled, see below. ' ! AUCKLAND RACES. ON DECEMBER 26th, JANUARY 2nd and 3rd.— Trains will run to the Racecourse Platform as follows :—From Auckland at 10.45, 11.25, 11.45 a.m., 12.0, 12.20, 12.50, 1.15, and 2.10 p.m.; returning at intervals from about 4.30 p.m. up to a quarter of an hour after the last race. From Onehunga at 11.15 a.m., 12.10 and 1.15 p.m.; returning at s.2oand 6.40 p.m.' The 6.20 p.m. train Auckland to Mercer (see below) will stop at Racecourse Platform to pick up passengers, leaving there at 6.40 p.m. ON DECEMBER 26th and JANUARY 2nd.—Special trains will run from Oxford, Cambridge, Te Aroha, and Te Awamutu to Racecourse Platform and AuckTRATNS POSTPONED.—ON DECEMBER 26th, JAN. 2nd and 3rd, the usual 4.15 p.m. train Auckland to Mercer will leave at 6.20 p.m., and will run 2 hours 5 minutes later than usual throughout. The usual 3.50 p.m. train Onehunga to Auckland will leave Onehunga at 4.10 p.m. and run 20 minutes later than usual throughout. ON 26th DECEMBER and JANUARY 3rd. —The usual 4.40 p.m. train Auckland to Helensville will leave Auckland at 6.20 p.m., and will run 1 hour and 40 minutes later than usual throughout. The evening trains Helensville to Kaukahakapa and back, as on Fridays and Saturdays, will run 1 hour and 40 minutes later than usual throughout. TRAINS CANCELLED. —ON DECEMBER 26th, and JANUARY 2nd and 3rd, the following trains will not run:—lo.ss a.m. Auckland to Helensville, 11.55 a.m. Helensvilfe to Auckland, 3.50 p.m. Auckland to Penrose, 5.20 p.m. Auckland to Otahuhu and Onehunga, 5.20 p.m. Onehunga to Auckland, 7.20 p.m. Onehunga to Auckland, 7.35 p.m. Penrose to Onehunga, In addition to these, on December 26th ana January 2nd, the 4.45 a.m. Auckland to Huntly, 7.40 a.m. Te Aroha to Frankton Junction, 8.10 a.m. Cambridge to Frankton Junction, 8.35 a.m. Te Awamutu to Frankton Junction, 9;55 a.m. Frankton- Junction to Auckland, 10.0 a.m. Helensville to Kaukapakapa, 11.15 a.m, Kaukapakapa to Helensville, 1.10 p.m; Huntly to Auckland, 3.0 p.m. Oxford to Auckland, will not run. Goods Traffic will be suspended on 26th December and January 2nd. The Auckland Goods Shed will be closed on December 26th and January 2nd. It will be open on 3rd January up to 11.0 a.m. for taking in, loading, and delivering goods; after . 11.0 a.m., for taking in goods only. Goods Traffic will be suspended at Newmarket on December 26th, January 2nd and-3rd. BY ORDER. Always on hand, for private sale. New Sydney Drays', Saddlery, Hamess, Bonedust, Artificial Manures, Clover and Grass Seeds. &c. At Papakura, on the First Wednesday in each month, at 12 o’clock. Principal Market for Store Cattle. At Pukekohe, on the Second Wednesday in each month, 11 o’clock. . Cattle Fairs held in August, September, October, evember, and December.
