Two of the stock of Oudeis, the Albany—No Name horse that won the Canterbury Derby of 1883 for the Hon. W. Robinson, were returned as winners at the Wagga (N.S.W.) Meeting the other day, his son Pointsman winning the Hurdles, and his daughter Latonia the Flying Handicap. Oudeis is now standing the season in the Wagga district. Old Rewi still continues to peg along. At Aspendale Park (Melbourne) on the 18th ult., he carried 7.0 into third place behind Calculation 7.1, and Mikado —not Mikado 11.—6.10, in the Beach Handicap, 5 furlongs. Kapo with 9.12, and Cocksfoot with the same weight and ridden by George Laing, were beaten out of place in the Hurdle Race, one mile and a half, won by Josephine. Calista, who was once the property of Mr. D. O’Brien, showed sometliing like her old form in the Trotting Handicap of 30 sovs., 2 miles. She started 30sec behind scratch, was ridden by the ex-Christchurch trainer George Bourke, and' beat a field of nine, covering the distance in smin 55scc. She was favourite, at even money. Rewi, 7.4, ran third in the Selling Race, 5 furlongs. The voting for the election of five members of committee of the Victoria Amateur Turf Club in place of Mr. Archie Yuille, who resigned, and Messrs. G. Davis, M.L.C., J. L. Purves, Albert Miller and Norman Wilson, who retired by effluxion of time, resulted in the return of Messrs. A. Miller, J. Grice, J. R. ( Cowell, Norman Wilson, and J. L. Purves.
