It will be seen from our stud news that two important foalings have eventuated down Christchurch way, Vogengang’s dam Psyche having dropped a filly foal to Master George, and Nautilus (dam of Galatea, Cynisca and Pygmalion), having foaled a little daughter to Chain Shot. It is perhaps a pity, in the light of Vogengang’s victories, that Sheenan did not again use that colt’s sire Burlington for Psyche, but Master George, with whom she was mated, happens to be Sheenan’s own property. He never raced, having gone wrong when in training ; but he is a well-bred nag, being by St. George—Red Rose, and therefore full brother to The Shah. Nautilus’ mate of last season, Chain Shot, is a brother to Necklace.
