Waitara Jockey Club.

(FROM OUR TARANAKI CORRESPONDENT.) The annual meeting of the Waitara Jockey Club was held on Saturday, July 30th, when the officers as under were elected :—President, Mr. T. Elliott; vicepresidents, Messrs. N. King and A. Standish; judge, Mr. Finnerty ; starter, Mr. O. Lepper; clerk of scales. Mr. G. V. Tate ; clerk of course, Mr. T. F. Goddard ; stewards, Messrs. G. H. Brown, R. Cunningham, W. G. Glassford, J. Thornton, W. Black, C. Lepper, M. Cunningham, T. Elliot, G. V. Tate, C. Newsham, W. McKay, and J. Sarten. It was decided that the annual race meeting should be held on Thursday, Bth December, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan Club.
