These horses are all looking well, and should pay their oat bill during the season. F. The Thames Jockey Club have appointed Mr. J. H. Greenslade, secretary for the ensuing season. There was a; great crowd of owners, jockeys, trainers and spectators present at Potter’s Paddock yesterday afternoon, eagerly watching the pony measurements. The Taranaki ponies, Lady Onslow, Rodney and Fibre passed satisfactorily, as did also Sweet Lavender and Desmond. Much surprise was manifested when it was proven that Reuben was considerably over the standard. His owner being quite satisfied with the result, saying he knew the horse had grown inches.
