May 31. G<df. Tuesday was an ideal day for golf, and quite a number were or! the links. A putting and approaching competition was held, being won by Mjss Alison Younff. Delicious afternoon tea was given by Miss Clapeott and Miss Hawken. Some of those present were: Mrs. Page, Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Webster, Mrs. O’Callagban, Mrs. Gibson, Mrs. Bright, Mrs. Bayley, Mrs. Holder, Mrs. Sutton, Mrs. Glasson, Mrs. N. Caplen, Mrs. Foyster, Misses Caplen (2), Miss Douglas, Miss Revell, Miss B. Nolan, Miss Davis, Miss Mason, Miss Good, and others. Personal. Miss Skinner, Nelson, is the guest of Mrs. Page. Miss Glasgow, who has been staying with her sister. Mrs. Thomson, has returned to Wellington. Miss Burr, Hawke's Bay, is staying with Mrs. Moore Hunter. Miss Hunter, Waikato, is visiting Mrs. Tonks. Miss Brett (Auckland) is the guest of Mrs. Moore. Adbury.
