Vienna is perturbed about the double■fceaded eagle which surmountß the new War Ministry building on the Ringstrasse. The eagle, an immense bird in bronze, is a triumph of realisin’. It is stated that the model -was an ancient obese eagle in Schonbnmn, an old inhabitant of the Imperial Menagerie, ■which now has no object in life except eating. The sculptor evidently forgot that for the emblem of a nation of warriors a thinner eagle would have been more satisfactory. Rut It is probable that the eagle with its two fat necks and its two heavy crops will remain to preside over the fortune* of the Austrian Army,
