April L At the Courts. On Saturday and Monday last a large number of visitors assembled to witness the tennis tournaments at Kaitl. Amongst those present I noticed: Mesdames Collis, Murray, Cotterill, A. L. Singer, R. U. Burke, Irvine, Gover, Box, H. Maude, R. G. Crawford, Ruby, Adair, Barlow, Blackburn, Brooks, and Foote, and the Misses Davies (2), Bull (2), Rees (2), de Lautour (2), Bradley, Kennedy Reynolds, Callis, Murray, McCredie, Barry, Hookey, Black (2), Adams, Howard. Hookey, Matthews, and Crawford. and Messrs. Grant, Anderson, Ruby, Schierning. N. Bull, G. Bull, Howie, Margoiiouth. O’Brien, Burke, Cowan, Broadhurst. Mr. and Mrs. George Bushy have gone to Napier in order to bo present at the wedding of Miss Freda Waterhouse to Dr. Wilson, of Napier. Miss Minnitt has returned from her Auckland visit. Hr. nml Mrs. M irfanrin. of Wellington, are visiting Mr. Maelaurin, of Waipura, Gisliorne. Dr. Ernest Williams, who has Item visiting Mr. ( laudo Williams, of Murinai, has returned to Dunedin. Mr«. p. u. Nicol, of Nelson, returned Fouth on Monday. The Mi«aes Brook Itijlor returned Iron their visit to Pakarae on Tuesday. Miss Don man, who has been to OpoUl>i on a visit, has returned to town.

Mrs. H. Carlyon. of Auckland, is at present on a visit to Gisborne. Mr. Thompson, of Wellington, has been appointed accountant of the Bank of New Zealand, Gisborne.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morgan have returned from their visit to Tatapouri. Miss Howard, of Hawke’s Bay, is visiting friends in Gisborne. Mrs. Murray and Miss B. Murray have returned from their visit to Rakauroa.

Miss Hilda Jacobs, of Wellington, who has been visiting in Gisborne, returned South on Sunday.

Mrs. W. Smith and her daughter Kathleen and Miss Smith left Gisborne for Wellington on Wednesday, prior to theftdeparture for England.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Matthews, who have been visiting Mrs. E. G. Matthews, Stout Street, returned to their home in Auckland on AVednesdav.
