CAMBRIDGE.

April 5. Golt. The official opening of the Golf Club was held on Wednesday afternoon, when there was a large number of members and friends present. The weather was perfect, and the greens in good order. Afterpooii tea was provided by the lady members of the club. Mixed foursomes ■were played, the winners being-Miss Veale and AV. Hunter 43 (net), Mrs. Mcßride and 8. Dunbar 2, Mrs. Nicoll and B. Coupcr 3. Amongst those present were: Mesdames Couper, Roberts, Nicoll, Holbeehe, Bunyard, Fraser, MeCullagh, McDermott, Mcßride, N. Banks, Croxford, Sleddon, A. Souter, H. Nixon, Caw, Misses Lundon (2), Ferguson (2), Hally Attfield, Gwyuneth, Wright, Nelson, Shipherd, Veale, Keeping, Roberts, Hitchens. Personal. Misses Wells have been in Auckland for a week, and were staying with Airs. Dewsbury, of Onehunga. Mrs. Beale has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. Mervyn Wells, at Cromer for a few days. . Mr. and Mrs. John Ferguson have been on a visit to Wellington, and are returning to Cambridge to-day. Mr. and Mrs. Williams, of Auckland, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs Richard Reynolds, of Treearne.
