March 28. Tennis. An often tenuis tournament was held on the Kaiti Courts during the Easter holidays. p| a y be gan O!I Saturday at nine o'clock, and was kept up briskly all day. About 50 or GO players had entered, and so the courts were in full Use. Personal. Mrs. J. \\. Preston has gone for a vifiit to Auckland and Cambridge. Mrs. H. J. Walker has returned from a visit to Nelson. Mrs. ami Miss Murray have returned from a visit to Rakanoa.
Mrs. Kempthonie and the Misses Brooke-Taylor are staying at the Tatapouri Hotel. Mr. W. Evans returned to Napier on Sunday. Mrs. and Miss Iris Dunlop are staying at Morere. Mrs. Parris leaves for America early next month. Mrs. W. Cooper and Miss E. Cooper have returned home after an enjoyable trip to the British Isles and Europe. Miss Hilda Jacobs, of Nelson, is at present visiting in Gisborne. Miss Morgan and Mr Morgan, of New Plymouth, arrived in Gisborne on Wednesday-. Miss Gardiner, of Invereargill, is at present visiting friends in Gisborne. Mrs A. Graham has returned from a visit to Nelson.
