DANNEVIRKE.
March 3. Tennis and Croquet. Tea at the Dannevirke Tennis Club on Saturday was given by Mrs Stevens, Mies Broughton and Mine Black. Others present were: Mesdamee Robertson, Rueeell, Cowper, Hartgill, Gieeen, Mieses 'Barker, Cowper, Russell, Gossett, Hobday, Baker, Hunter, G-urr, Marley. At the Rangatira Croquet .Club Miss A. Bear presided over afternoon tea on Wednesday. Amongst those present were: Mesdames Macallan, Soundy, Robertson, McDowell, A. Green, W. Green, Wysocke, Collett, Roake, R. Guy (Wellington), Savage, MeNicol, Henry, Glass. Personal. Mrs Cowper, sen., (iWanganui) is staying with Mrs F. Cowper (Kaitoke). Mr Robt. Guy (Wellington) is t'he guest of Mrs Macallan. (Dr and Mrs Dawson returned from a visit to Wanganui on Monday. Mrs and Miss Pettit are visiting Mr Walter Pettit at Te Kuiti. Miss Gretchen Irvine left on a visit to Wellington on Tuesday. Mrs George Harvey left for a short visit to New Plymouth on Wednesday. Mrs H. Quigley and her little daughter are spending a few days in Hastings. (Miss Kelleher (Dunedin), who has been spending some weeks with her sister, Mrs Simmers, returned home on Friday. Miss D. Knight returned on Monday from a visit to Hastings and Napier.
