While flying from Boulogne to Hendon l«> s t month. Signor Manio. the Italian aviator, had the unique distinction of being tlie first aviator to descend with rather more haste t ian dignity on to a London roof-top in the neighbourhood of Palmers Green, where his resmers found him calmly smoking a cigarette. The aeroplane and the roof of the house were considerably damaged.
