TIMBER FROM AMERICA.-A BIG CARGO OF OREGON PINE AT WELLINGTON.
The American barquentine Koko Head. which arrived in Wellington last week with I.44oJMM)ft, of Oregon pine, made a brisk passage from Portland, covering the 7.090-mile journey in 45 days, (b I'nloading the timber at Clyde Quay. (2) The Koko Head in Wellington Harbour, i.’b A general view, showing how the timber was stacked on the vessel’s decks. Some anxiety is felt concerning the safety of the Robert It. Hird (a four-masted schooner belonging to the same company), which left Grace Harbour, Washington. 29 days ahead of the Koko Head, and is now over SO days out.
