A REUNION OF OLD COLONISTS AT PAPAROA.
The reunion of old colonists and the celebration of the inception of land settlement at Paparoa, Matakohe, Maungaturdo, and Port Albert took place last week at Paparoa. There was an assemblage of several hundreds, Mr It. Hames presiding. Among those present were the Prime Minister (Hon. W. F. Massey) and Messrs. Coates, Y ning and Glover. M.i’.'s. 41) Mrs Itowsell, aged 81, the oldest survivor present, and Mr Coates, M.P. (2) Hon. W. F. Massey, with Messrs. Coates and Glover, M.P.’s. (3) A scene in the hall during the proceedings.
