The Wellington Seamen’s Union have demanded increases in the number of firemen employed on the Union Co.’s steamer Mapourika and the Westport Coal Co.’s Regulus. The demands have been refused by the companies, and both vessels are laid up in consequence. The photos, show the two steamers tied up alongside the wharves in Wellington.
