Doomed to Disappear.
Tf the monocle, as predicted by a Paris correspondent, is doomed to disappear, it will not have had a very long existence. The first person to screw a glass in his eye was, according to Sir Horace Runibold, a Dutch exquisite, Jonkheer Brcele, whose monocle startled tho diplomats assembled for the Congress of Vienna. The fashion appears to have spread rapidly.
