Electric Ovens in Vienna.
Electric ovens for bread baking are beginning to make their appearance in some of the large cities of Europe, and
the central electric stations are promoting their use. The Vienna electric plant is making arrangements with the bakers' syndicate to have electric ovens adopted widely throughout the city, and it offers to supply the current for this use at special reduced rates. As the bakers’ ovens run all night this provides an outlet for current during the hours when the load is normally low. There will soon be a trial oven put in operation in order to t method.
