AUCKLAND.

lutein club Matches. The third round of the inter-club matches was played on Saturday last, and the form shown was distinctly in advance of the two previous rounds. In the Remuera I. v. Auckland I. match, Webster deserves credit for his win against K. DutQiie, the latter player being looked upon as a promising champion. In the ladies’ matches Remuera was too strong for Auckland. Parnell 1. had a very easy win from West End, the latter club only showing a win in Dr. Keith’s single and Miss Gray. The results in the A Grade to date show Remuera 3 wins 0 losses; Eden and Epsom, 2 wins. 0 losses; Parnell, 1 win and 2 losses; West End and Auckland, 2 losses each. There are two more rounds to play, and the result will probably lie between Remuera and Eden and Epsom, and will be a close finish. First Grade—A Section. PARNELL V. WEST END.
