Theatre Party. Despite the unfavourable weather of Friday, a large party went by drag to Eltham, to see the Plimmer-Denniston Company, in “Nobody’s Daughter.” The party included: Mr. and Mrs. Fookes, Mr. and Mrs. Uniacke, Mr. and Mrs. Stubbs. Mrs. and Miss Wake, Mrs. Cameron. Mrs. Porrttt. Mrs. Robinson, Miss O’Brien, Miss Fussell, Miss Stronach, Miss

Turton, Miss Joyce Munro, Messrs. Fussell and McAlister. Croquet. Fortune favoured the Croquet Club in the form of glorious weather for the oj»ening day, on Tuesday. Many members and visitors graced the lawns—which were in excellent condition —and partook of delicious afternoon tea. Included amongst the company were: Mrs. Dingle (president), Miss Dingle, Mesdames Munro, Wake, Curtis, Black, Anderson, Penn Tyrer, Bayly, Bond, Reira, King, Misses Butler, Wake, Curtis, Munro, Anderson, and many others. The usual weekly bridge “drive’* was held-at Mrs. Robhison’s home on Fridav and a very pleasant evening was spent’ Included were: Mesdames Uniacke, Grant Budge, Wake, Stubbs, Richards, and Mi's Nancy James. Persenal.

Mrs. Mac Kay’s friends are pleased to hear of her being about again after her recent rather serious trap accident. Aliss Butler returned on Saturday, after a few weeks spent in Wellington.
