November bth. Bowling and Croquet. Last Saturday the Hastings Bo«l>»X and Croquet Clubs held their annual opening day. The grounds looked very green, and the roses and other elimbiut! flowers gave the grounds a very artistic appearance. The day was beautifully line. Pupils' Evening. On Monday night the pupils of Miss iWilson (Trinton) gave a display of physical exercises and singing in St. Matthew’s Hall. The children looked very dainty in their costumes of brown and blue, the school colours. A delicious supper was handed round, and dancing occupied part of the evening. Miss Wilson wore an amethyst silk spotted with white. Others present were: Mesdames Macniven. Hassel, Lewis, Shields, Tosswill, M ood, Brocklehurst, Nairn, Scannel, Rivers.
