September 21. Dance. A dance was given on Saturday evening in honour of the successful Ladies Hoekey ’Team by a. "committee pf sports.” About 80 guests assembled, .in the Oddfellows’ Hall, where, with excellent music and a first-rate, floor, time passed all too quickly. In the middle.of the evening Mr. Brewis congratulated the. girls upon their success in winning the silver cup at the recent. Auckland tournament. Cheers were heartily given, amt Mr Gilfillan briefly responded on behalf of the team.
