September 21. Miss Roberts and Miss Mary Hodson leave shortly on a trip to Australia. Miss Huddleston leaves for Sydney next, week, where she intends spending (he next three months. Mrs C. Green has returned from her visit to Wanganui. Mrs Aulty Oldham (Tapawera) is visiting her mother, Airs Harris, Nilestreet. Aliss D. Greenland (Westport) is the guest of Airs Hamilton C'Mayroyd”);
Mis J. B. Harrison is visiting friends in Christchurch. Miss Moss lias returned to her home in Wellington. Mrs Donald has left for Christchurch. Mrs Bruce has returned to '-'iniaru. Mr W. Devenisli, the newly appointed Collector of Customs here, has arrived front Greymouth. Mr and Mrs T. M. Cullen and their family have left for their future home in Dunedin. Mr Maughan Barnett (Wellington) and his daughter have been spending a short holiday in Nelson. Miss Pitt has been visiting friends here, on her arrival from Sydney. Mrs Renwick is away in Marlborough. Mrs Fowler has returned from the North Island. Miss G. Clark is visiting friends in Wellington. The many friends of Mrs Drew will regret to hear of lirr death, which took place at "Fern Hill,” the residence of her sister, Mrs Henry Edwards, on September 17th.
