A VIEW OF NELSON FROM QUEEN’S DRIVE.— LEADING OUT TO THE WAIMEA PLAINS.

To the extreme right is Bishopdale, where the Bishop of Nelson has his residence: also the Old People’s Home, partly obscured from view by the surrounding trees, and District Hospital. In the centre of the picture is the Nelson Boys' College, a handsome brick pile erected only a few years ago. showing also the boarding accommodation across the road, and the well laid out extensive college grounds. 'I he Mental Hospital is situated at the back of the college. Running on to the left is the Waimea Road, and rising up in the background is Flaxmoor, the highest point reaching to 960 feet.
