Aviatress Flies Channel.

For the first time, last month, the (. hannel was crossed in an aeroplane by a lady, a Alias Trehawke Davies, who accompanied M. Gustav Hamel, the wellknown air-man, on his machine, the journey from Hendon aerodrome to Ambletense, near Boulogne, taking under an hour and a-half. After a couple of hours* rest, the two enthusiasts flew to Paris.

It -is an interesting coincidence that. M. Hamel’s first experience, several years ago, of a balloon journey, was with Mr. Hedges Butler, who, earlier, accompanied a lady balloonist over the Channel.
