•lune 3. Golf. The new members of the Golf Club are taking advantage of the visit of the Auckland professional, and are practising under his tuition in the Hamilton Domain. Croquet, A meeting of the Ladies' ( roquet Club was held on the lawns on Tuesday. There were about twenty members present, when it was decided not to hold a club ball this year, but to leave it open to members to subscribe direct. It was resolved that the bridge evenings in aid of the funds should be resumed, also that social afternoons for the same cause would be welcomed if more convenient, the entertainment to take any form the hostess wished. The first, bridge evening will be given by Mrs. Brewis at- her residence on June 14th ult.

Hospital Ball. The annual Rill in connection with the Waikato Hospital took place in the Town Hall on Thursday lust. In such capable hands the arrangements were- all that one could wish, the general verdict being everything that was compliment-; try. Mrs. Muleock has been enjoying a pleasant time at Rotorua, and returned on Friday.
