May 11. Mrs. D’Arcy’s Dance. Mrs. D’Arcy gave a very jolly euchre party* for Miss Nolan, of Gisborne, who is staying with her, and amongst, those present were: Miss Cowper ( Dannevi rke), Miss D. College Dance. Last Friday’ evening the Little Old Girls of the Wanganui College gave a very delightful dance in the Assembly Hall. Aliss Cruickshank (Lady Principal of the College) wore a very beautiful cream satin gown with ninon on her corsage; Aliss C urrie, grey charmeuse robe with overskirt of ninon, caught at the front of the skirt with spray of heliotrope roses, and a bunch of the same at the waist; Aliss 1). Christie wore a black, satin gown with ninon and pink roses on her decollete and in her coiffure; Miss G. Christie, white satin robe, made short, and a square-cut tunic of pale pink ninon, pearl embroidery on Iter corsage, and a band of wide black velvet in her coiffure.; Miss H. Anderson, pretty embroidered white muslin robe with satin waistband, and in her coiffure a spray of shaded pink roses;. Miss D. Humphreys (Taumarunui), pale blue charmeuse gown with cream net pointed tunic, the same on her decollete, girdle of blue sat in, finished with tassels; Mi-- Brettargh, pale blue silk gown with blue fisher net> overdress, touch of blue in her coitTure; Aliss D. Brettargh. pale pink satin frock with tunic of cream Brussels net, and a touch of black velvet in her coiffure; Aliss E. Miss Al. Cowper, of Dan nevi rke, who has been visiting friends in Wanganui, has returned to her home. Mr. and Mrs. John St?vens<»n and Mi-s Ida Stevenson, of Wanganui, left this week for a visit to Auckland. Miss Nolan, of Gislmrne, is the guest of her aunt. Mrs. D’Arcy, in Wanganui. Mrs. and Miss Ikidgshim, of Wellington, spent a few days in Wanganui on their way to New I’lyrnoutli. Rev. W. Bond and Mrs. Bond, of Masterton,, ar? staying in Wanganui with Mrs. H. Sarjeant.
