SH A N NON— BRUCE. <STTF PRETTY wedding was celebrated y I at st. John’s Church,. Feilding, r"1 the bridegroom being Mr. William James Shannon, son of Mr. G. V. shannon, of “The Totaras,’’ Waituna, and the bride Miss .lean Bruce, youngest daughter of Mrs. A. Bruce, of Denbigh-street, Feilding. The ceremony was performed at St. John's Churth. which was crowded. The Rev. G. F. Mayo, vicar of Kimbolton, assisted by the Rev. A. S. Innes-Jones, performed the ceremony. The bride, who looked very beautiful, wore a dress of <o!t white liberty satin veiled with marquisette, and tunic edged with Limerick lace ami caught up at the side with a large satin rose, square train daintily embroidered with pearls in true lover’? knot. I'he bodice was trimmed with fichu of Limerick lace and pearls and finished with a spray of orange blossoms. A veil of Limerick lace was surmounted with a dainty mobcap of tulle edged with orange blossoms. She carried a lovely bouquet. Miss Ehsie Bruce (cousin of the bride) was •chief bridesmaid, and the other bridesmaids were Miss Vera Mcßeth (niece of the groom) and Miss Irene Prior. All three were quaintly dressed in pale grey ninon. The tunics were trimmed with three rows of linking caught at each row with grey and pink ninon roses and finished with dainty bead trimming. The bodices were finished with ninon, fichus edged with rucking ami caught with a large pink rose. They wore large black velvet hats the crown swathed with ostrich feathers and caught with a single pink rose. Each maid carried a little posey of pink roses and grey tulle. Mr. A. Shannon (cousin) was best man, and the groomsmen were Messrs, t’. Blundell, of Wellington, and K. Smith, of Marton. The bride was given away by her unde, Mr. J. Bruce. Mr. and Mrs. Shannon left by •ear for Wanganui en route to Auckland and Sydney. The bride's travelling dress was saxe blue costume with tagal straw hat of a lighter shade with grey and blue wings. A set of black fox furs completed a most becoming toilette.

ANDERSON—STEWART. A quiet wedding was celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, Wellington, between Miss Christina Stewart, daughter of Mr. ami Mrs. S. Stewart, and Mr. Maurice Anderson, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Anderson. Lhe bride’s gown of oyster white satin was draped with lace, and with it she wore a tulle veil and orange blossoms. Iler bridesmaids — Misses Anderson and Stewart —wore grey cbarmense, piped with rose colour, grey plumed hats; they carried bouquets of pale pink rose?. Messrs. N. Anderson and R. Stewart were groomsmen, and Mr. M. Anderson played the organ. Mr*. Stewart wore black crepe de chine ami a black and white hat; Mrs. Anderson, a smoke grey satin and a black plumed hat. After the wedding reception Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Anderson left on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a pale gley tailor-made and a grey hat.

YOL'NG—TOLHURST. Miss Lin y Tolhurst’s wedding with Mr. Thomas Young was quietly celebrated in the drawing-room of Mr. Tolhurst's residence in Grant-road. Wellington, which was decorated with white flowers. Only

the nearest, relations were present, the bride's cousin (Miss Bartlett) attending her, while Mr. Campbell Young was his brother’s best man. The Rev. J. Kennedy Elliott, of the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church, was the officiating minister, and Mr. Tolhurst gave his daughter away. Two days later Mr. and Mrs. Young left for England, accompanied by Mr. Young's little son Arthur. They will be away about six months.
