GISBORNE WELCOMES HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR ON HIS OFFICIAL VISIT.
During his recent tour to Poverty Bay. Lord Islington was warmly welcomed by the Gisborne people, and he was much Impressed with the resources _<»f the district. _(l) TUe local bodies formally receive his Excellency ami present addresses of welcome. (2) Ills Excellency speaking at the ceremony of turning the first sod of the work on the Gisborne Xapier railway. (3) Laving the foundation stone of the new Gisborne Hospital. (4) Service at the laying of the foundation stone of the new Holy Trinity Church.
