Ono of the most important results of this year's contest was the very favourable reception, given to the proposed amalgamation with. the. South Island Association the question being referred to the executive with power to net. (1) Waihi Federal Kami, A grade, first in test, second in quickstep, and winners of Besson Shield and £l5O ea-h. t'-’i \\. Summers, Wanganui, first in E tint soprano cornet solo. (3) <». Buckley, Wanganui, first in B flat cornet solo. (4) IL Boyd, Wanganui, winner B flat baritone solo. t."n Westport Garrison, A grade, third in test, quickstep, and Besson Shield. (0) Palmerston North, A grade, first in quickstep, and second in test-and Besson Shield. (7i C. Clayton, Gisborne, winner B flat bass solo. <s> E. IL Miller, Gisborne, winner B flat flugel horn solo. (9) Wanganui City, B grade, first in quickstep, and third in test ami Boosey Shield. (10) Gisborne City, B grade, first In test, second in quickstep, and winner of Boosey Shield and £BO. (11) Whangarei Municipal, B grade, second in test, third in quickstep, and second in Boosey Shield.
