Campanula Hendersoni.
A neat campanula that well deserves wider cultivation, and one that promises to obtain a larger measure of popular favour in the near future, is C Hendersoni. It is generally understood that this foot-high plant is a hybrid between 0. albiariaefolia and C. earpatiea, anil its heart-shaped leaves and pyramidal, racemose method of flowering suggest a combination of the two species indicated. The Howers are very attractive and of a rich mauve rather than a deep blue shade of colour. These are very freely produced over a. long period. Either for the rock garden or the bolder, this campanula is a very useful subject, and it is particularly effective when grown in a colony rather than as a single specimen.
