February Ifit At the Races. The Gisborne Racing Club held their meeting last week. The weather was beautiful,'and crowds of people attended both days. A few of those I noticed were: Mrs. .Arthur Rees; dressed' in dainty grey muslin de soie, trimmed with cream lace-; Miss Lusk, grey ninon over silk, large straw hat; Miss M. Sherratt, white muslin, hat with w’hite feathers; Mrs. Mann, pink Shantung; lace trimmings; Mrs. R. Sherradt, dark eoat and skirt; Mrs.'H. de Lautour, muslin de soie, large picture bat; Mrs G. Fenwick, grey velvet Empire dress, hat trimmed with yellow and black buttercups; Mrs. G. McLean, dove-grey Sicilian dres* A velvet toque with pink feathers; Mrs. X Clark, royal blue foulard, smart hat; Mtas RendevHoii, tussore costume, block hat;< Mrs. J. W. Bright, black silk, old rose toque; Mrs. G. O. Sainsbury,-white, muslin, iblack hat; Mrs. W. 'Sherratt, wine-coloured, silk, hat trimmed with silk roses; Mrs. (Dr.) •Scott, white linen coat and skirt, grey hat with blue feathers; Miss M. Rees, pale 'blue silk muslin; Mrs. Thorne George, grey ninon frock, large white sat; Mrs. Patullo, mauve costume, hat to match; Mrs. J. R. Murphy, pink ninon, large black hat.

Personal. Us. ami Mrs. Williams, of Gisborne, went South last week. Arehdeacen and Mrs.. Williams, of: Gisborne, left for Wellington Last week. Mr. and Mrs; J. Henderson, of Gisborne, a nived on Saturday from their motor tour. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tullock came hack from, their honeymoon trip last week. Mr. and Mrs. Langdale Sunderland, of Hawke's Bay, left Gisborne on Wednesday. The Rev- Roberts was presented with a purse of sovereigns by the parishioners of Holy Trinity Chureh last week, prior to his departure for Dunedin.
